T.J. Mertikas is a Ph.D. student in Jurisprudence & Social Policy at Berkeley Law and a participant in the Designated Emphasis program in Political Economy. He received his J.D. summa cum laude from the University of California, Irvine, where he was an articles editor for the UC Irvine Law Review and a certified law student in the Workers, Law, and Organizing Clinic. His research interests include work law, the American labor movement, sociology of law, and political economy.
Past Experience
Prior to graduate school, T.J. worked as a union representative for the Culinary Workers Union in Las Vegas, NV, and as a middle school math teacher.
