2) Transfer Enrollment
Transfer Enrollment
Today is the first day of Phase I for incoming Fa24 Transfer students!
Send me your essay and application so that I can declare you asap.
You can find the app and essay info on our website under 'Declaring the Major'.
That way you'll be recognized as a declared major by the system when you enroll.
If you're already declared, find the seats in classes that are open.
For Lecture classes, the discussion section you choose should also have open seats as well, or you will need to waitlist, which is not ideal.
Don't forget to look at the 190 seminars for cool topics and open seats.
Consider a class like Legalst 127 with Kyle DeLand. Super interesting topics and a fav instructor. AND there are lots of seats.

Remember, my best advice always is to take just two classes for the major each semester.
If you still have prereqs to complete, you can finish those at any time before you graduate.
Find two Legal Studies upper divs for fall. It'll be more fun.
Good Luck!

5) Short Job
Short Job
Visiting Scholar needs one person asap to do a one-off stint of work of about eight to ten hours.   There could be later iterations of much the same assignment, but for now this has to be considered an offer of one day's work.  Here are the particulars:
Length of position: eight to ten hours
Remote or in-person: much of the work will need to be done in the main library; some of it can be done at home
Pay: $20 per hour
Nature of the work: I need to have ten or so scholarly articles photocopied from journal sources (just one copy apiece).  I will also need to have six or eight books mailed (at my expense, of course) from a local post office (doesn't matter which one).
We'll need to meet in person a few times, but mostly you'll be on your own.
Whom to contact: James Rule, (510) 525 4386
