5) Be a Virtual Tutor

Be a Virtual Tutor

Consider joining Cub Support! We created this organization to provide free virtual tutoring and support to K-12 students. As schools have closed and shifted to remote learning, we recognized that not everyone has access to the same educational resources. We hope to bridge that gap by providing personalized 1-on-1 support.
However, right now we have MORE KIDS THAN TUTORS signing up, so we need YOUR help! From pre-algebra to creative writing, from music theory to physics, we are eagerly looking for tutors for a wide variety of subjects.
You can spend as little as 2 hours a week tutoring, and you can choose the subject(s) and grade level(s) you want to work with.

4 Tips To Rock Your Virtual Internship
It may be one of the first times that you have moved out of the classroom into the workplace this summer. Acing a virtual internship is not so different from acing a traditional internship. But it is even more important to be prepared, professional, and proactive.
Set goals and learn the expectations
Before the internship begins, speak with your supervisor about what you hope to gain from this experience and what their expectations are for you as the intern. Discuss the plan and think about what you need to be successful.
Learn the office culture
Ask questions about how people communicate with one another, how decisions get made and what the office goals are. Stay connected by participating in office activities, including team chats and talking individually with colleagues to get advice.
Meet deadlines and manage your time effectively
When you are working from home, you won’t necessarily have someone checking in with you every day. Keep track of important dates and assignments and be sure to submit work in a timely fashion. Complete assignments on time and let your supervisor know if you have time to take on more projects. Keep a record of your achievements throughout your internship so you can refer back to them.
Don’t be afraid to ask for feedback and help
An internship is an opportunity to learn. Ask for feedback from your supervisor, a mentor or other colleagues on how you can be do better and let them know you’re interested in growing. It is your responsibility to strike the right balance and communicate with your supervisor if you’re feeling overwhelmed.
