One important thing to remember is that the APR (the Academic Progress Report at the bottom of the middle column in 'My Academics’) does not work properly for the major and so is not an official record for Legal Studies.
Keep track for yourself. Use the website to check how your classes count towards the major. Use 'Course Offerings by Semester' to see how your classes count.
Go to legalstudies.berkeley.edu Do not use the Berkeley Academic Guide
No matter what the APR says, I will be clearing you for the major requirements once you have completed them and you are ready to graduate.
Make sure to double-check your College and University requirements in the APR as I do not clear you for those requirements, rather they are auto-approved.
The APR does work for these requirements.
If you have questions about the College or University requirements, check in with one of our advisors here.
Dear Cal learners,
We hope that this message finds you well!
We’re thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity to join the SLC’s Strategic Learning Program (SLP) team as a Peer Academic Coach (PAC) in Fall 2025!
What is a Peer Academic Coach?
PACs empower Cal undergraduates to take ownership of their learning and develop the skills, habits, and mindsets they need to thrive academically at Cal and beyond. Through one-to-one coaching, you’ll support fellow learners in unlocking their potential while deepening your own understanding of yourself and the learning process!
What are the benefits of being a PAC?
You’ll be able to make a meaningful impact on the lives of your fellow students and help cultivate a warm, welcoming learning environment for the undergraduate community. Moreover, you will enhance your professional skills, including in communication, posing questions, and active listening, as well as receive high-touch mentorship and support from Professional Academic Coaches!
Learn more and apply today atbit.ly/Apply-SLPApplications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, with the next deadline coming up on April 18 and future deadlines into the summer!
