The Moot Court team at Cal faced top, nationally ranked moot court teams from Yale, UChicago, Patrick Henry, Cal State Long Beach, and the like.

To date, UC Berkeley is sending two teams, Ty Stillerman (Cal senior) & Megan Cistulli (Cal senior) and Sarah Zhang (Cal sophomore) & Aayush Singh (Cal sophomore), to nationals for oral advocacy which will occur at the end of January 2022.

The entire team will be competing in the nation brief writing competition which will occur in mid-December 2021.

Because of the Undergraduate Moot Court Team’s unprecedented success thus far, they should be nationally ranked once rankings are released later this year.

More information from the AMCA website: https://amcamootcourt.org

"The American Moot Court Association is the largest intercollegiate moot court organization in the US. The AMCA establishes the rules of competition and supervises regional and national tournaments that are open to all college and university students. Last year, 500 teams registered to compete in fifteen qualifying tournaments to attempt to win a bid to the Championship Tournament that was held virtually for the first time in the history of the AMCA.”
