Sociology of Law
Previously, Mariel worked at the Florence Immigrant and Refugee Rights Project in Tucson, Arizona where she served folks detained in ICE Detention with pro se services and Know Your Rights presentations. She also spent her time organizing in the greater Borderlands community of Southern Arizona for immigrant rights and was a part of the Arizona 3 at the University of Arizona. In addition to immigrant rights work, Mariel has worked many years in the independent bookstore industry.
