Ca Legal Studies Journal
We are excited to announce that the California Legal Studies Journal at UC Berkeley is now accepting submissions for the 2025 edition of our print journal! This is a wonderful opportunity for undergraduate students to have their work published and receive one-on-one mentorship with an editor to prepare their paper for publication.

Submission Requirements:

  • Submissions should be selected from your upper-division courses or independent studies.
  • Papers must be a minimum of 5 pages and include an abstract.
  • Submissions must follow the Chicago style of formatting.
  • While ideal papers should relate, at least tangentially, to the journal's theme, we welcome papers on any policy or legal subject.
  • Papers must not have been published elsewhere.

Deadline: December 20th, 2024

Interested students should complete the application form linked here. The application link can also be found in our Instagram bio. Applicants will be contacted about the status of their submission in early February 2025.

For updates and announcements, follow us on Instagram: @clsj.berkeley. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to us at callegalstudiesjournal@gmail.com.

This is a unique chance to contribute to a journal that has been showcasing outstanding undergraduate legal research for over 10 years. We look forward to reviewing your submissions and supporting your work as we prepare the 2025 edition of the California Legal Studies Journal!
