My name is Ananya, and I am the current Managing Editor for the Berkeley Undergraduate Journal — Cal’s oldest undergraduate academic research publisher for the social sciences and humanities, run by students for students.
We are currently looking for paper submissions for our Fall 2025 Issue. It would be greatly appreciated if you could forward the following message to students who have completed their honors theses and might be interested in publishing their papers on the University of California's eScholarship website.
The deadline for the Fall 2025 issue is October 6th at 11:59 PM. Submission details can be found on our website.
You are invited to Berkeley’s Graduate Diversity Admissions Fair on October 6 - 10.
This virtual event will help prospective professional, master's, and doctoral students:
- learn more about our top ranked graduate programs and award winning faculty
- gain a deeper understanding of Berkeley’s culture and resources available
- understand the application process, and important deadlines
- consider funding options and opportunities
Register now to customize your fair schedule by signing up to the sessions that interest you.
Berkeley is a place that fosters a supportive community that is at the heart
of our students' success. Our graduate diversity programs aim to create
a culture of belonging for all students. This fair is one example of that.
Though the fair is open to all – it's designed specifically for prospective students
from historically excluded, and underrepresented backgrounds.
We hope you will join us.

Have you ever wanted to share something you’re passionate about—whether it’s a hobby, an academic subject, or just a cool idea—with curious high school students? That’s exactly what Splash at Berkeley is all about. Splash is a one-day educational program where local high schoolers come to campus to take classes taught by Berkeley undergraduates, graduate students, and postdocs. It’s a chance to design and teach a class on anything you care about while giving back to the community and inspiring the next generation of students. Classes can be anywhere from one to three hours long, and you can even co-teach with a friend.
This fall, Splash will take place on Sunday, November 9th, in person at Dwinelle Hall. Teacher registration is now open, and we’d love for you to join us! You can sign up to teach your class here:
Register to Teach – Fall 2025
The deadline to register is Saturday, October 4th @ 1 PM PST.
We also encourage you to share this opportunity with friends who might be interested in teaching. And if you’d like to get even more involved, consider joining the Splash admin team! Being an admin is what we like to call a “low-commitment, high-impact” role—just 1–2 hours a week helps us organize an incredible day of learning for high school students. If that sounds interesting, send us an email at splash.berkeley@gmail.com
Thanks for helping make Splash possible—we can’t wait to see what classes you come up with!
